We have very recently had an addition of just over 160 sq. Meters added to our house by Lockwood’s Ultawood Homes, and had the painting of the new addition and the outside of the existing house done by Rhys Cadness, of Papakura.

We were initially impressed in the professional approach Rhys had, and as the job progressed we were not disappointed. The new interior needed polyurethane on the walls, and paint on the ceiling and doors, and the exterior of the whole building was painted. We are delighted with the finish to all surfaces, and the fact that the job was completed in the time that was quoted was what we had come to expect by this time!

Good evening Rhys,

Cadness Painters have been the only painters I have used for the last decade. The painting jobs he has done for me extend from house to barn and stables, post and rail fences to our bach.

There are less expensive painters, but if you want a quality job done then Rhys is “The” Master Painter who will deliver it. He prepares the job properly and the painting is done with attention to detail leaving and without leaving a mess behind.

Short of weather delays holding up exterior painting, he also does the job in the time frame that he commits to before the job starts.

He continues to be the painter I will use for any future work.

We contacted several tradespeople to paint the outside of our weatherboard house,

All replies were more or less similar in price though one had quite unacceptable conditions.

Rhys Walked round the house with us, listened to what we wanted, carefully measured, offered advice and promptly provided a quote.

While not the cheapest his professionalism and considered advice were such that we asked him to proceed.

He started the job a little earlier than expected, got stuck in, make it happen , completed the task as quoted and to our complete satisfaction.

Mr R Cadness has just completed painting my house at the above address The house is high and quite difficult to access and the paint work was in very poor condition and in some parts the woodwork required some maintenance.

Mr Cadness completed the preparation and painting in a very professional manner. He took great care in locating the most minor defects in the woodwork and old paintwork and correcting before proceeding.
